Our 2009 Senior Economy Package

August 20, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We try to organize our products, sessions and packages to suit your need.  Some people have a certain budget in mind, or they don’t want all the fuss of a bunch of outfits and proofs to take home.  For that reason we created our $295 Economy Package.  You get 2 outfits and a 30-minute photo session.  We’ll take about 15 poses, with a variety of set-ups and backgrounds.  And instead of having to take your proofs home, as soon as you’re done we upload your pictures and show them to you, and you place your order right there!  For more details, click on “Current Specials and Offers”.

Here are some samples of our latest EP session, Cassie, a 2009 senior at Carroll High School.  Enjoy!

Maternity Portraits

August 14, 2008 · 2 Comments

Jodie and her husband are expecting their first child next month!  She came in last week for a maternity session, and brought in some samples of maternity portraits she liked to give us an idea of what she was looking for.  The main ones were semi-nude with the black background and a white-on-white portrait.  She also wanted some belly shots with their wedding rings.  Her portraits came out absolutely gorgeous.  We wish Baby Foster a happy arrival, the best of luck to Jodie and her family, and hope they’ll be back soon!

Our ‘09 Senior Couple

August 12, 2008 · Leave a Comment

A lot of our clients hear about us from friends or family members.  It’s no surprise, then, that sometimes we get couples!  Justin, a 2009 senior at Snider, knew he wanted to come to us because he loved his friend Howard’s pictures (he’s up top on our cover page).  He came in to ask some questions and turn in his session fee and brought along his girlfriend Ashley, also a 2009 senior at Snider, and the next day she booked her appointment.  They even came in on consecutive days!  We had a lot of fun with Ashley, especially with her track ribbons and our Caribbean set–her shirt matched the blue perfectly.

Justin brought in several outfits; here I’ve highlighted his formal outfit and two of his football outfits.

Call now to schedule you’re appointment–school’s starting!

2009 Seniors: More pet portraits!

August 8, 2008 · 5 Comments

For many of us, our pets are like siblings or children.  They’re absolutely a part of the family, not just the family’s dog or the family’s cat.  (Or lizard or bird or tarantula or whatever.)  So it’s pretty common for people to want their pet in a few of their pictures.  We don’t mind–we’re animal lovers, too!  We just ask that you either have a crate or someone who can handle the animal while it’s not being used for pictures.  Sometimes people even have a friend or family member bring in and take home the animal separately.

Julie, a 2009 senior at Bishop Dwenger, brought in her adorable Yorkie, who was very well-behaved and I think was actually posing for the pictures.  Here are some samples, including two with one of my favorite color backgrounds:

2009 Senior: Bright colors and fun jewelry

August 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This is Ashley, a 2009 senior at Churubusco High School.  She has beautiful pictures!  I picked out a few images to highlight three outfit choices that add a lot to her portraits:

  1. Big heart earrings that are a great accent to an image
  2. Bright colors that add a lot of warmth and life to an image–especially an outdoor image
  3. A classic white sundress (white sundresses are my all-time favorite outfit choice for outdoor summer portraits)

I also threw in a traditional headshot with some enhancement, just because it’s a really nice image!

‘09 Seniors: Boys need senior pictures, too!

August 5, 2008 · 1 Comment

A lot of our senior samples are girls because, frankly, the ratio of boys to girls for senior pictures is not quite equal.  But don’t worry, we don’t forget about the boys!  Meet Brandon, a 2009 senior at New Haven high school.  He brought in 4 or 5 outfits.  It was his mom’s first time dealing with a senior and she was very grateful that we’d showcased samples from New Haven seniors because she was feeling a little lost on where to go.  I’ve chosen a few to show the variety of different looks we did during his session:

2009 Seniors: We cater to your needs

August 5, 2008 · 1 Comment

Some seniors come in here with no idea what they want.  Either they’re overwhelmed by all the choices, they don’t pay attention to photography or other people’s portraits, or they’re just here for their parents and don’t have strong opinions one way or the other.  But to lots of seniors, their portraits are a big deal and they know what they want–and what they don’t want.  That’s not a bad thing!  Of course it’s best to keep an open mind–Michael is a professional and can come up with great things you’ve never even considered, but don’t feel bad about telling us you don’t want something–even if it’s something we’ve done that’s hanging right on our walls!  Everyone has different tastes, and the more guidance you give us about what you’re looking for, the more likely it is that you’ll love your pictures.

For example, Jessica, an ‘09 senior at Concordia Lutheran High School, knew that she wanted natural-looking color and light, with little to no digital artwork or effects.  Trust us, it helps to know that sort of thing.  She ended up bringing 7 outfits, and we took a lot of pictures!  She picked up her proofs today, and she loved them!  Your guidance helps.  Seriously.  Here are some of my personal favorites, all taken considering her requests:

‘09 Senior: Classic but unique

August 1, 2008 · 1 Comment

Meet Rachell, a 2009 senior at Concordia Lutheran High School.  She has a very classic look that worked wonderfully for beautiful, classic portraits, but we also added in some fun and modern elements to make her pictures special.
